What kind of editing will be done?
Copyediting and proofreading, which basically consists of checking things such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and any other structural or stylistic errors. It will also include some light fact-checking and making sure that no details clash or are unexplained.
What can be edited?
Anything on the shorter end of the scale – no novels. Academic papers, articles, cover letters, blog posts, personal statements, or even short stories.
What will I receive when the editing is complete?
We won’t just hand you back a completely different copy of your content; you’ll be able to see all of the edits and suggestions made. We’ll send you back a Word document with all the changes tracked, so you can decide if you want to keep them or not.
How long will it take?
Depends on how much content you need edited, but generally about 1-2 weeks. The definite time frame will be established upon discussing the project with the client.
Do I get to communicate with the editor?
Of course! Once your order is placed, you’ll be connected with your professional editor and proofreader to go over any and all information.
What do I need to provide to the editor?
Your content that needs editing, any background information that goes with it (such as research for academic papers), and where it is being submitted to, so we know to follow the correct editorial guidelines.
